King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands took a heritage walk down Victoria Quay with Fremantle mayor Brad Pettitt and maritime heritage guru Mike Lefroy this week.
The Dutch royals were in Fremantle earlier this week to commemorate 400 years since Dirk Hartog touched down on an island off WA, and to unveil Hartog’s dish (the oldest physical record of European landfall in Australia) as part of a new exhibition at the WA Maritime Museum.
