Pigrams headline festival

THE Pigram Brothers will mark the 20th anniversary of their iconic Salt Water Country album by headlining this year’s Freo Folk Festival.

“It will be a heavy bracket: we will do as much as we can, for as long as we can,” promises Steven Pigram.

The festival, at Princess May Park, will include performances by Kav Temperly (Eskimo Joe), Soukouss Internationale, Toby Bear, The Fling, Mitch King, Stella Donnelly, Dillip and the Davs, and Jim Fisher and the Hamilton Hillbillies.

Circus WA’s new big top will make a lively addition with family-friendly performances and kids’ workshops, and at dusk the tent will transform into a hip, third stage.

There’ll be food vendors, craft beer, wine and cider stalls, roaming entertainment and light installations.

It’s on Saturday, October 14, 11am–10pm, with a heap of ticketing options, including “very important folks” with merch pack, food and drink tokens, and an artist mingle.

There’s a two-for-one deal for FFF punters to catch former Freo local Simon Marks at the Fly By Night the following evening (October 15), for the launch of his album Big River, Little Stories.
