FREMANTLE Prison won first place in the cultural category at the Australian Tourism Awards.

“For us to take out gold on a national level is a huge achievement,” says prison communications officer AiLin Chen-Van Leeuwen.

She says the prison has launched three new tours to entice previous visitors back.
