A 30-year-old Beeliar woman has been charged with historic child sex abuse stemming from her time as leader of a local church youth group.
Police will allege the incidents occurred between June 2008 and March 2011, with the alleged victim a young girl aged 13-years-old at the time of the first offence.
The woman has been charged with two counts of sexually penetrating a child, four counts of indecently dealing with a child and one count of persistent sexual contact with a child under 16-years-old. She is due to appear in the Fremantle Magistrates Court on April 5.
Cold Case Serious Crime Squad detectives say the investigation is “ongoing” and are calling for anyone with information about the matter to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
