A NEW $3 million public dental clinic has opened at Fremantle Hospital.
The old clinic was located on council-owned land on Parry Street, but the city wanted to sell the land, so the state government funded a new state-of-the-art clinic with expanded services at the hospital.
The clinic is expected to treat more than 8000 patients a year and will provide general dental care to eligible patients, including those with health care cards.
“The newly refurbished unit features nine treatment rooms, a dental laboratory, sterilisation areas and staff support rooms,” said WA health minister Roger Cook.
