IT was back to the future at Heathcote this week with the unveiling of a renovated entrance which has been taken back to its art deco heyday.
The new space includes the Heathcote Cultural Precinct shop, Collections Gallery and a co-working space for creatives.
Melville mayor Russell Aubrey said the new Collections Gallery would include a selection of recent acquisitions from the city’s art collection.
“Envisioned to periodically rotate to showcase different works, the new HCP Collections Gallery currently features pieces by Olga Cironis, Julie Dowling, Caspar Fairhall, Laurel Nannup, Trevor Richards and Jane Ryan, amongst others,” Mr Aubrey said.
The next major exhibition to run at Heathcote will be works from the Ceramic Arts Association of WA, which opens May 3.
