Back in town

FREMANTLE singer/songwriter Helen Townsend waited until her 40s to kick start a music career, and seven years later she’s releasing her first album Little Lover.

Along the way she’s had a swag of WAM nominations including best county act and best song of the year.

Little Lover is a departure from her multi-award nominated 2014 EP Wayward Heart, with a harder rock beat and more diverse sound.

It features twelve of her original compositions, plus Big City, a tribute to the song that kick started her musical career.

The Little Lover album launch is at The Duke of George in East Fremantle, Friday August 23. Tix at http://www.moshtix.com.au
