FREMANTLE’S Headspace has received a $300,000 funding boost from the Albanese government to help combat long wait times for young people seeking help with their mental health.
Fremantle federal Labor MP Josh Wilson said demand for mental health support was at an all-time high across Australia.
“Many young people in our community are experiencing psychological distress as they deal with the growing pressure of school, work and the Covid-19 pandemic,” Mr Wilson said.
“This funding is welcome news for teenagers and young adults in F remantle and Cockburn who deserve to have the care they need when they need it, close to home.”
