Spare Parts Puppet Theatre presents its acclaimed adaptation of Tim Winton’s beloved book, Blueback, brought to life by award-winning playwright Peta Murray.

Immerse yourself in the magic of puppetry as you embark on an extraordinary journey with Abel Jackson, a young boy whose deep respect for the sea and its teeming marine life leads to a lifelong friendship with a remarkable creature, Blueback. Through exquisitely crafted puppets, Spare Parts recreates an enchanting underwater garden inhabited by fish, crabs, eels, abalone, coral, and the majestic Blueback himself, the king of the reef.

 Through humour, tenderness, and an enduring message, this production captures the mystery and majesty of the sea, while reminding us of our connection to the environment and each other.
