ST CHRISTOPHER’S Anglican church in Bicton/Attadale has dedicated a purple bench at a special ceremony to raise awareness about the victims of domestic violence.
Church warden Jacqui Garbett says the Anglican Diocese of Perth were very invested in the initiative, along with the City of Melville.

• Melanie Simms, Katie Mair, David Bassett and Erin Wade at the seat dedication.
“Our rector is reverend Melanie Simms, and the ceremony was led by the right reverend David Bassett, bishop of the Diocese of Perth with mayor Katy Mair, Melville city council and Erin Wade, Warrawee Refuge manager, The Lucy Saw Association Inc, in attendance.
“Parishioners gathered around while the dedication was made and then everyone came together over a scrumptious morning tea,” Ms Garbett said.
