Over the past few months the Boathouse has welcomed a steady flow of families, neighbours, walkers fresh from the coastal path and friends meeting for a relaxed meal overlooking the boats. Summer at the marina has a way of bringing people together. Children wander in with sandy feet after a day at the beach, couples settle in for sunset dinners, and locals drop by for an easy midweek catch-up. Inside, the venue reflects that same relaxed coastal spirit. Ocean-inspired tones and local artwork create a welcoming space that feels both modern and comfortable, while the alfresco area continues to offer one of the most peaceful dining outlooks along Perth’s southern coastline.

Breakfast has long been part of the Coogee Boathouse experience on weekends, and this year that offering has been extended to include Fridays. Guests can now begin their day by the marina from Friday through Sunday, enjoying coffee and breakfast while looking out across the water. It has quickly become a favourite way for locals to start the day, whether arriving after a morning walk, a swim or a bike ride along the coast.

Evenings at the Boathouse have also developed a lively midweek rhythm with the addition of community events. Trivia Night every Tuesday from 6.30pm brings together friends, neighbours and quiz lovers for a relaxed evening of competition. Wednesdays now feature Survey Says from 6.30pm, an interactive game night inspired by the spirit of Family Feud and designed for groups and families looking for a lighthearted outing.

In the kitchen, the focus remains on fresh local produce and honest cooking. The menu mixes familiar favourites with seasonal dishes, ensuring there is something comforting alongside new ideas to explore. As the weather begins to cool, the team is preparing a new round of autumn specials that will soon appear on the menu.

The venue also runs a range of weekly specials that have become popular with locals. Mondays feature a $25 porterhouse steak, Tuesdays bring a $20 mussels special alongside Trivia Night, Wednesdays offer a $20 chicken parmigiana and Thursdays highlight $20 burgers. Friday lunch includes a $20 fish and chips offer from 11am to 3pm, while Monday to Thursday mornings include 25 percent off hot drinks between 11am and midday.

Afternoons by the marina bring their own rituals as well. From Tuesday to Sunday between 4pm and 5pm, guests can enjoy $20 pizzas from nearby Om Nom Nom Pizza & Pasta Bar. Monday to Friday also features Happy Hour from 4pm to 5pm with selected cocktails, pints, wines and gin boards available at special prices. Most of these offers are available for both dine-in and takeaway, allowing locals to enjoy their Boathouse favourites either by the marina or at home. For those evenings when staying in feels just right, the venue also offers online takeaway ordering through its website, making it easy to enjoy Boathouse dishes without cooking.

As summer fades into autumn, the marina may grow a little quieter, but the spirit of the Boathouse remains much the same. It continues to be a place where locals gather, where visitors discover the charm of Port Coogee, and where a simple meal with a view can turn into an evening well spent. For many in the community, it has become one of those reliable coastal places that feels welcoming in every season. And as the days begin to cool, the marina will still be there, the tables still filling, and the sunsets still drawing people down to the water.
