Going cheep

WHITE cockatoos were having a great time chortling over the nuts dropped by a massive tree outside this Attadale home.

Their joyful chatter followed me to the spacious verandah, and then into the wide entry of this five-bedroom abode.

Sitting on a 769sqm corner block, there are three entries – two create a circular drive with a carport big enough for a small boat or a  mobile home.

The third leads to a massive garage with mezzanine storage.

Inside, the home is pure luxury with sweeping spaces, high ceilings, marri timber floors and plenty of windows for natural light.

The kitchen is bigger than some apartments and has white granite benchtops with stunning black-and-grey starbursts.

The solid beech bespoke cupboards were built by well known furniture designer Glen Host.

The kitchen includes a steam oven, an instant boiling-water tap and three dishwashers (a full-sized one and two half ones).

Entertaining on the large alfresco deck, overlooking the sparkling pool, will be a breeze with the outdoor kitchen.

The original pool was halved and mosaic-tiled. The other half is under the decking where it collects rainwater and acts as top-up.

Two semi-ensuite ground floor bedrooms form a guest wing.

The rest are on the second level, along with a huge sitting room which could be a games room.

You can glimpse the Swan River from the wide balcony and the main ensuite bedroom, which has a walk-in robe.

Situated on Stoneham Road, this luxurious home is close to the river, Point Walter, Santa Maria College and Attadale Primary School.
